Zero Punctuation: Braid

Wednesday, August 27 2008 05:06 PM

I figured it was only a matter of time before Yahtzee Croshaw decided to feature Braid in his weekly reviews.  I mean after all, the game he gives highest acclaim for is Portal, and Braid and Portal share some of the same revolutionary characteristics.  Not only did he review it, he pretty much put it up there on his list with Portal and had very little to say about it negatively, which is why I decided to post his review since I also raved about braid in a post earlier this month.   For those of you unfamiliar with Yahtzee, I give you his bio:

"Yahtzee is a British-born, currently Australian-based writer and gamer with a sweet hat and a chip on his shoulder. When he isn't talking very fast into a headset mic he also designs freeware adventure games and writes the back page column for PC Gamer, who are too important to mention us. His personal site is www.fullyramblomatic.com"

He is the voice behind Zero Punctuation: the weekly non-descrimitive, non-apologetic game review video with unique animation, clever one-liners and incredibly fast brit-speak.  Oh yeah, and it's freakin hilarious.  He's known for his particularly unforgiving reviews, which is why I'm posting his review of Braid, one of the few good reviews he gives.  After watching this one, browse through and watch some of the others he's done.  They're all funny as hell.  Make sure you put your headphones on though, it's NSFW.

Anyway, here ya go.
