Once again, this movie gets my "effin hilarious" stamp of approval.  I mean right from the get-go...a random, authentic-looking "commercial" comes up without a break in the normal previews for Booty Sweat energy drink and the Bust-a-nut Bar, which by the way had my bro and I lookin at each other laughing hysterically, but at the same time goin "wtf??".  It quickly becomes evident that it's part of the movie when it follows that with "previews" of each of the main characters big movies (Ben Stiller, Jack Black, and Robert Downey Jr.).  Those guys weren't the only ones who were hilarious in this though.  Two weeks ago, I had no idea who Danny McBride was, but now he's cracked me up in two movies in a row (he was Red in Pineapple Express, aka the dude who so poignantly says "Thug liiife" just before cockin his shotgun).  Another thing I wasn't aware of goin into this movie, Tom Cruise was in it.  I usually hate that guy, but he was pretty damn funny in this one.  Done up with makeup and fake hair (that would be arm and chest, not head) in a Fat Bastard sort of way to look like George Costanza with a short scruffy beard, you can't help but laugh lookin at him.  Oh and Robert Downy, hahaha, that "dude playin a dude disguised as another dude" was funny as hell.  Anyway, I could go on and on, but the point is, go see it.  You won't be dissappointed.

Two words: effing hilarious.  I mean it is what it is, a stoner action adventure movie, but it's also gut bustingly funny, and pretty violent too, all the ingredients of an awesome movie.  Seth Rogan is histerical as ever, and James Franco plays a truly authentic and truly funny stoner.  It's not gonna win any awards, but you'll definitely have fun watching it.

Saw this movie last night at the dollar theater for 75 cents (Tuesday night special), and I unfortunately have to say that's about how much it was worth.  Yeah, it provide plenty of genuinely creepy moments, and the whole idea and synopsis for the movie is really promising, but M. Night just didn't live up to his usual standard.  I mean, the ending, well, there really wasn't much of one.  No trademark M. Night Shaymalan twist, nothin.  I dunno, I can see where some might consider this as a decent movie, I just left the theater like "...eh."  Oh well, I guess the one sentence I can come up with to describe that movie was, "It had potential to be much much better."

Hellboy 2: The Golden Army

Well I just got back from seeing Hellboy 2: The Golden Army; very good, about as much as I could've expected from Guillermo del Toro.  It was definitely as good as, or even better than, the first.  The main villain/bad guy, who was played by the same guy who played the "super vampire" in Blade II (coincidently, ALSO directed by Guillermo del Toro), was very very good.  Ron Pearlman, not suprisingly was badass as well.  The fact that Abe was played by a new guy, and not "Niles Crane" (can't remember the actor's name), was a little dissappointing, since it fit the character so well in the first, but the new voice wasn't too bad.  Anyway, not much else to say about it, just go see it.  Funny, action packed, great special effects...  You'll enjoy it.  Two thumbs way up.  (if you haven't seen the first, see it first, just so you can get a little more pumped up for this one)
